10.03.2009 - To all Bardsey Dog Lovers
We know that the vast majority of dog owners really enjoy walking on our village footpaths, pavements, grass verges and lanes especially as the weather improves over the coming months. However we have a few areas in our village where we have dog fouling and this is very unpleasant for fellow walkers, especially those with children. Please, please, please take plastic bags with you when you exercise your dog and pick up anything your dog may leave behind. Wrapped bags can be placed in all litter bins in our village. The Parish Council have notified the Leeds Dog Warden service of the following areas that are particularly affected:
Footpath leading out of All Hallowes Church yard into the field; Footpath leading across Blacksmiths field towards East Keswick; Top of Tithe Barn Lane near the telephone kiosk and Scarsdale Lane area of the Congreves.
Dog fouling is an offence and can lead to a substantial fine. Thank you to all who cooperate so thoughtfully every day and we hope you can continue to enjoy our lovely village.
